The Best Woman
She wipes the beads of sweat from her forehead and thinks, “Is it okay if I cook tomorrow?” Then she remembers you, hungry with nothing to eat, and she can’t bear the thought of it.
The woman I talk of is your, and my mother. They’re strict, aren’t they? I’m sure you wonder why; well the answer is for your own well-being.
A relationship with a mother is perfect. I know there is a phrase that says, ‘nothing is perfect’, but I must disagree.
You’re mad at each other for a minute and the other, you’re fine. You can’t stay mad because you need her, and she needs you. She will fight your battles for you till you’re old enough to fight them yourself. Carrying your burdens for you so the weight of the world won’t be on your shoulders. Questioning herself with a shattered heart when you get mad and shut her out, and when you do the simple, little things for her, she glows with happiness and a full heart. As you get older, she’s joyous but distraught, fearing that you’ll forget her and the memories you both shared.
When you leave to start your own life, she worries because she can’t carry your burdens or fight your battles for you anymore. But she knows she’s raised you right and you’ll be fine, so with a huge smile on her face, she walks back inside, sits, and waits for the next time you’ll visit.
Your mother will never let you down, and you must never either.
An imperfectly perfect relationship.

The Best Woman is a tribute to mothers on mother’s day. The relation of mother to child is all about emotions and it is very difficult to capture emotions. Happy Mother’s Day!!!
