An activity that reflects your passion, leisure and pleasure is called a hobby. This definition makes the boundaries of hobby unlimited. Therefore, a portal is being developed to encompass the subject matter “hobbies” to support the audience.

We all have that one thing we enjoy the most,
We all love to spend time doing it,

Introduction – MyHobbyPortal
The main purpose of this portal or website is to promote hobbies. Whether classical or modern, indoor or outdoor, real or virtual, website will promote them. With this vision, we have volunteers and enthusiasts who are providing contents for the making it a prime portal of hobbies.

In order to make it user friendly, initially, the categories are divided into seven distinct headings. These may be updated from time to time. Main categories include:
Collectibles; Pets; Games, Sports and Music; Gardening; Travel and Tourism; Writing and Arts; and Others
A brief introduction of these seven categories is as follows:
Collectibles
As one of most informative and classical hobby, it is a expensive one as well. It definitely requires a lot of time and money to satisfy hobby called collectibles. But you may not need to worry as you may start this hobby with basic fundamental stuff and then build on it.

Popular classical hobbies consist of collecting postage stamps, post cards, coins, currency notes, books, clocks, toys, films, cars, utensils and so on.

Few of the modern ones include collecting funko pops, toys, cars, signed sports memorabilia and so on.
Pets
As it is said that adopting a pet is most engaging hobby. Caring some pets require full time attention especially when they are young. Once they are tamed, they become part of a family and require bit less attention.

Dogs and puppies top the list, whereas cats and kittens follow them. But in number, fishes surpass all categories. In addition, we have enthusiasts who keep wild animal as pet. Choice of keeping a pet differ by nation or country as well. In USA, mostly you may see dogs and cats whereas Arabs love to keep falcons and horses.

Games, Sports and Music:
This hobby has major shift over the years and by generations. Once physical sports were so popular but now virtual ones have taken over it. Still people play and watch sports like football, soccer, baseball, cricket and so on.

Indoor hobbies include games, sports and music that can be played in a little space. Young generation is addicted to gaming consoles, virtual reality games and listening to music. Although in the website we will cover all forms of hobbies in this category. But one should emphasis on making a balance among the physical games and virtual games to keep them healthy.
Gardening
Just like adopting a pet hobby, gardening is also an engaging one. Loving and caring your plants is one of the healthiest hobbies. It may teach you to be humble, protector of environment and nature collector.

This hobby involves developing and decorating a garden and then maintaining it. You may develop an organic garden, kitchen garden, roof garden or so on. It’s all depends upon the availability of space and passion.
Travel and Tourism:
Another healthy hobby whereby you may explore new places, meet new people and enjoy cultures. Travel and tourism provide relive to one’s busy life and provide a family time without any work or study pressure. Now a days, there are so many options available for travel and tourism. Some people simply explore new countries and cultures. Whereas other tends to do adventure and live next to nature which is far away from concrete jungles.

There are so many tourist planners and guiding services available that makes one’s life easy. Anyhow, travel planning is essential where you have less time available for your trip. Snaps and stories of your trips become lifetime memories.
Writing and Arts:
Whether you love reading and follow writers, intellectuals, artists, poets or bloggers. There is so much stuff for this hobby. Similarly, some people love to become top writers, poets, artists or blogger. Again, this hobby has unlimited space in terms of stuff available for any enthusiast.

Modern writing and arts are way different then classical one. But still classical bore more value when it comes under the radar of a collector’s eye.
Others:
This category consists of hobbies that does not fall on above six categories. They may include hobbies like cooking, decorations, construction, development, bird watching and so on….
