Free Verse Poem

A hamster waiting in its cage,

For something unique to happen,

Or anything exciting to happen,

All day it waits, and nothing happens,

If it rages, it may cause trouble,

If it appeases, it may pile up grease,

A hamster waiting in his cage,

For something to happen,

Maybe a new toy to play with,

A new snack to feed it,

A hamster waiting in his cage,

But can something happen in hamster’s cage.
