A Free Verse Poem on Fennec Fox

There’s a fox,

With two huge ears,

Dissipating heat,

And a cloudy tail,

Black tipped,

Light yellow,

As the sand of the desert,

Flowing through the air,

As to its small size,

Sensing the preys,

Escaping the predators,

Light to carry,

Won’t feel a touch,

Thick furry soles,

Happy smiley face,

Can tell you,

Where to start the adventure,

In very hot and desert areas,

Looking to start an adventure,

With you.

About Fennec Fox

The little cute fox specie could be an adorable pet to have.  Although many countries don’t allow them to be put in captivity.  But still people love to keep them as a pet.  They have a life span ranging from ten to fifteen years.  That is considered to be low for a pet but they spend their life span with an owner. They are very social animals. Therefore, with proper care they can be kept as pets.

They are known for their large ears and cat like behavior. While their small size and the color yellow is useful to camouflage in the desert. Which ultimately helps them to keep away from big predators. They have good sensory ears that help them to hear their prey underground. They eat small prey that include insects and birds which means they are carnivores. Their predators are jackals, large mammals, and eagle owl.

Fennec foxes can get tamed by you but they will still be considered as a wild animal. They are an exotic pet, as they live in desert areas such as Sahara Desert, Arava Desert, Arabian Desert, and Sinai Peninsula. They are used to a desert like environment. So, when keeping a fennec fox as a pet, give it a nice warm desert like environment. And make sure it is not lonely. Once tamed, it would be a nice companion to have.
